About CSF

Christian Scholarship Foundation (CSF) was founded in 1999 as the Prescott Christian School Scholarship Foundation (PCSSF). The name was changed in 2008. Our sole purpose is to use the School Tuition Organization (STO) Tax Credit Law, A.R.S. Section 43-1089, adopted in  1997 to give parents a choice in education. The original law for individual contributors has been expanded to allow “C” Corporation contributions. Our focus is and will continue to be helping ensure that children have the opportunity for a Christian-based education.

Since 1999, CSF has awarded over 3 million dollars for tuition scholarships to more than 2500 students attending Christian Schools.  Thousands of visionary Arizona taxpayers have made this possible by contributing to CSF utilizing  Arizona’s unique opportunity to receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against their Arizona state income tax.

CSF is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization. This may allow contributors to use their STO contribution as a charitable deduction on their federal income taxes. Consult your tax preparer for your options.

School Tuition Organizations (STOs), governed by the State of Arizona, are required to use 90% of all contributions received for tuition scholarship awards. CSF is operated and managed by an all volunteer group allowing for minimal overhead. On average, CSF has awarded 94% of all contributions they have received for scholarships.

Whether you are a parent looking for ways to afford Christian education for your child, an Arizona taxpayer looking for new ways to support Christian education or a “C” Corporation seeking to contribute to the local community, you are invited to check out our program.
